With Coldsense ice sensors, for the first time it is possible to directly detect frost, mixed ice, and clear ice on the evaporator of a refrigeration system. We developed these sensors ourselves\u2014originally for safety-critical ice monitoring systems in aerospace. The measurement results are correspondingly precise.<\/p>\n<p>The ice sensors combine different measurement principles and generate a tightly confined electromagnetic field that changes as soon as even minimal ice forms on the sensor.
